DUE DATES AND DEADLINES

JUNE 29-JULY3:
Finish collection of data at sites. Work on establishing your wikis - site pages, headers, links between group pages, pictures, etc.

JULY 3:
No class. However, all data (no exceptions) is due in at 3pm. If it is late, you will be deducted a letter grade for the aspect(s) that are late. Please make sure that everything is in at this time. Communicate among all people in your group to make sure of this. Also, the Watershed Drs. will be assessing the wikipages for progress.

JULY 4:
Have a great 4th of July!

JULY 5:
Class. You will be working on your wikispaces. Remote sensing data is due by 3pm. If it is late, you will be deducted a letter grade for this aspect. Final tallies of your data will be provided at the beginning of class and general FYIs on how to create them properly in Excel. Also, the Watershed Drs. will be assessing the wikipages for progress.

JULY 6-9:
You will be working on your wikispaces. Writing up all the sections, embedding text, creating links. Look to Final Rubric and past writeup to help you out. Remember that the reward for plagiarism is a zero. The Watershed Drs. will be assessing the wikipages for progress. By now you should have an entire draft of your group's sections and at least one if not more sets of edits to them (e.g. revisions).

JULY 10:
Class. Finalizing the wikipages and practicing your presentation. Dr. Pullen will assist with linking the various wiki pages together. Your presentation should be a separate Powerpoint, followed by the presentation of the wikispace. Make sure your Powerpoint is predominately figures/charts/graphs (all things that should be embedded already in your wiki). The majority of "text" should be headers or short bullet points (in other words, what you say should not be what is on the Powerpoint. No verbatim reading off slides). We will practice your presentations in class until they are perfected.

JULY 11 @ 1pm-3pm:
You will be giving your final presentation at the North Fulton Government Annex. To note, the Watershed Alliance of Sandy Springs, the National Park Service, the City of Sandy Springs, Upper Chattahoochee River Keeper, Fulton County government and various administration and faculty from KSU, including the dean and the president have been invited, . It is expected that all students attend and participate. You are welcome to bring guests that are capable of behaving themselves for up to 2 hours. The attire is orange shirts and long pants or jeans (skirts ok too).

JULY 12 @ 11am-2pm:
To celebrate the end of the course, we are having a cookout on July 12 from 11am-2pm. If it is raining, we will have this at Dr. Pullen's house (map link will be provided if the weather requires it). DO NOT BE LATE. It is required that all students attend. You can invite family and/or friends but let the Watershed Drs know of the headcount for food. The cookout will be at the gazebo on campus (#26 on the map). CLICK HERE for what to bring to the cookout!
